Diamond in the Rough (Roads): Land Rover's 75th Anniversary

What's better than meeting other fellow car enthusiasts? Being invited to the Association of North American Rover Clubs (ANARC) preview of the festivities planned for June's big weekend of wheelin' and muddin'! In fact, having gone off-roading with some of the members, I now want one myself!

ANARC has a wonderful weekend packed from bonnet to boot full of events, seminars, and off-road courses you don't want to miss! There's even a friendly contest, the ANARC Cup RTV competition.

During our "sneak peek at Greek Peak", I had the privilege of meeting club members including a founding supporter, and owner of Sarek Autowerk, Ralf Sarek. His daily driver is a 2022 Land Rover Defender pictured below in white. He shared his love of the Rover, in particular its unstoppable capabilities off-roading. Take a look at what these rigs can do on the trails:

Greek Peak Campground & Resort in Cortland, NY is tucked in a sprawling mountain landscape that plays winter host to ski bums and snowboarders and equally accommodates the Rover enthusiast and their 4x4s. The amount of "precut trails" as the one shown in the video is nearly endless! With a weekend full of Rover enthusiasts/volunteers and their tools, old overgrown trails became familiar passages for both novices and veterans alike. If this was any indication it'll be a grand ol' time! You can learn more about the event and what's planned for June 14-17 2023 on the club's event website: landrover75.com

Happy Trails!
